About the Role
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will be an integral part of an agile team, working closely with software developers to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. You will verify implementations, conduct rigorous regression testing, and ensure that new features meet our high standards. Additionally, you will develop and implement test automation code, streamlining the testing process and enhancing efficiency. Your contributions will be essential in delivering robust, high-performance software that meets both customer and business needs.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions using JavaScript and Java to ensure robust test coverage, utilizing tools like Playwright, REST Assured, k6 and Jenkins.
- Report, document, and track errors when system behavior deviates from expectations, ensuring clear and actionable feedback for developers.
- Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities, optimizing resources for efficient, high-impact quality assurance.
- Define and document test cases based on acceptance criteria, as well as interpret and critically assess requirements for accuracy.
- Perform manual, exploratory, and regression testing; maintain test automation scripts; and interpret log files (e.g., stack traces, Java errors) for advanced troubleshooting and quality improvements.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript/Java coding and at least 2 years of relevant experience in the field of test automation.
- Ability to design clear, effective test cases based on acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on experience with test automation, including scripting and writing test code in JavaScript and using tools like Playwright; familiarity with version control systems such as Git..
- Solid understanding of web technologies, including experience testing web-based applications and RESTful APIs.
- Basic command-line skills in Linux, enabling efficient troubleshooting and test setup within a Linux environment.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork in cross-functional agile settings.

The minimum gross salary offered (full-time-equivalent) is EUR 52.000- p.a. – an overpayment is possible, depending on education, skills, and work experience.
